Well done to our Eco Committee! 💡
A couple of weeks ago, the With Me In Mind team delivered sleep workshops to our Y4, 5 and 6 children and parents.

Thank you to everyone for the contributions with the workshop and a special thank you to WMIM!
Y9 and Y10 Drama students recently braved the cold January weather to enjoy a two day trip to London’s West End. The students saw two shows – the eerie ghost drama, The Enfield Haunting, and the spectacular stage musical adaptation of Disney’s Frozen.
The group also had a tour of London’s largest and oldest theatre, Theatre Royal Drury Lane, learning about the history of the building, the plays staged there and the royal rivalry which inspired the two ‘halves’ of the theatre. There were also tales of ghosts haunting various areas backstage.
On Sunday 4th February one of our students, Ruby, competed in a District Young Musician Final!
She received certificates of commendation and positive feedback from the judges!

We have secured £100,000 in grant funding from the North East & Yorkshire Net Zero Hub, through the second round of their Energy Project Enabling Fund, to help finance Phase One of the project, which is due to be completed by the end of March 2024.
The solar panels are estimated to generate around 270 MWh of electricity annually – significantly reducing our schools’ CO2 emissions by approximately 53.68 metric tons per year.
Mrs Ramsay is so proud of her Eco Team! They applied for their Blue Peter badges for contributing to our environment and looking after the school grounds. We are so proud of you for dreaming big and thinking about our school.
Watch this space for our developing allotment.
Y5 and Y6 have been learning about cubed numbers in Maths. To help us understand exactly what was happening, we built cubes to represent the calculations we were trying to understand.
Y5 and Y6 children have been developing their sketching skills and can now use one-point perspective.
This was really quite a tricky task and required a great deal of patience and attention to detail. It’s a good job that we are resilient at Foljambe!
Our Y5 and Y6 students are learning about the miners strike in their History lessons this term.
On the 5th February Rob Hammond, a miner for 38 years, came in to talk about his time working at the nearby Silverwood Colliery including during the time of the miners strike.
