Our very clear expectation is to achieve better outcomes for all our children and young people. We firmly believe that we should never do less for other children than for our own.

On Thursday 6th March, the children at Magna Lane were greeted by Willy Wonka and the Oompa Loompas to celebrate World Book Day!
They also enjoyed listening to stories, creating story characters from potatoes and making a 'domino' run out of books!
KS1 have been learning about different animal types and their habitats. They had an exciting visit to Cannon Hall Farm, where they saw a variety of animals , and learnt about how their food and shelter helps them survive.
Upper KS2 have been learning about electricity this term. We have identified different power sources, as well as building complete circuits, and identifying any defects in our circuits as we build them.
KS1 have focused on the picture 'Tiger in a Storm' by Henri Rosseu.
We have recreated our own versions, concentrating on a range of different colours to create the jungle theme.
LKS2 have been learning about the Stone Age. We have looked at the book 'Stone Age boy' and learnt about how they lived, tools they needed and created some lovely cave paintings.
UKS2 have learnt about the Greeks. We haved compared Modern Day and Ancient Olympics.
We have explored a variety of cusines this term.
We have looked at different Italian and Indian foods; as well as, bread making and our family favorites. The children have been well fed!
We have also introduced fruit of the week, the pupils have enjoyed trying new fruits and flavours.
This term in PE, KS2 have taken parts in gymnastics. Every pupil has worked hard to learn how to roll, vault, jump and round off, then put the movements in a sequence.
Mr. Hill has been taking pupils throughout Magna Lane for 1:1 sports sessions, including football skills, gymnastics and basketball.
Everyone in Magna Lane has been looking at the Magna Lane Way.
We have working together to keep the centre tidy, gardening and recognising how we can help in the community.
We have the library visit this term. All of the children had the opportunity to look around, browse through the books and some children also borrowed a book using their library card.
We have also had a visit from Miller Bear!
KS2 have really enjoyed taking part in Archery, Rock Climbing and Teamwork Games at our Cranworth site.
All of the students showed great maturity and followed safety instructions. We are all looking forward to Shelter Building at Ulley next month!
