Our very clear expectation is to achieve better outcomes for all our children and young people. We firmly believe that we should never do less for other children than for our own.

KS1
Maths
In KS1, we have had our investigation hats on! We've been looking at number bonds and associated facts.
History
Our KS1 students have been learning about Guy Fawkes. They were able to retell his story using puppets and sentence strips.
Art
This term, our KS1 children have been experimenting with tones.
We used what we learnt to create some wonderful winter wonderland pictures.
Park
KS1 have loved playing on the park this term!
They were fantastic at taking turns and having fun as a class 😊
KS2
KS2 had a fantastic day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We saw lots of animals, but the monkeys were definitely our favourites 🐒
We used the trip in our English lessons and wrote a recount of the day. We used the pictures we took at Yorkshire Wildlife Park to sequence our writing and use our expanded noun phrases to put our ideas together.
food technology
This term has seen Magna Lane explore a variety of cusines.
We've made Chinese, Indian, American and Italian.
Italian was the biggest hit, with pizza and pasta making, and even some Italian deserts.
lego therapy
LEGO-Based Therapy is a social development program that uses LEGO activities to support the development of a wide range of social skills within a group setting.
Lego therapy has enabled lots of our pupils to work together, make new friends and have lots of fun seeing our creation come to life.
Swimming 🏊♀️
All of Magna Lane have enjoyed a fun packed term of swimming. Lots of us have dunked our heads, learnt how to swim and, most of all, we've enjoyed ourselves!
SNOW DAY ❄
We certainly made the most of the first snow of the season at Magna Lane!
We loved playing in the snow, making snow angels and snowmen. We enjoyed a hot chocolate to warm up when we got in!
