Budget details are available upon request. For transparency, we want our gymnasts and families to have an idea of the approximate costs of supporting the WHS Gymnastics program each season. After the purchase of competition leotards we have a carryover of aprox. $3,900 to the 2026-27 season.
For 2026–2027, we are budgeting for approximately 25 gymnasts and approximately $15,000 in annual Booster Club expenses. Competition leotards are a separate program expense and are not included in this amount.
Our goal is to carry over approximately $5,000–$7,500 each year so that no single season or group of gymnasts is responsible for fundraising for the full cost of competition leotards. Carryover funds also help provide stability as program costs increase and allow us to cover unexpected needs that arise during the season.
The fee paid to the high school primarily supports coaching and the school program budget. Booster fees, fundraising, sponsorships and community support allow the Booster Club to provide the additional apparel, activities, recognition and experiences that support our gymnasts throughout the season.
Actual expenses may vary throughout the season. Our goal is to use Booster Club funds responsibly while providing opportunities and experiences that benefit the WHS Gymnastics program as a whole.
Warm-ups & Team Apparel Includes a jacket or warm-up top (approximately $55 each), tank leotard (approximately $65 each), approximately $50 per gymnast for pants/slides, and additional team apparel or equipment needs, such as replacement or additional backpacks.
Banquet & Senior Recognition Includes approximately $3,000 for the end-of-season banquet location, food and beverages. We have a larger senior class for 2026–2027, with senior gifts, coach gifts and other recognition. Booster fees cover each gymnast's admission to the banquet, and award plaques are approximately $75 each.
Meets, Themed Nights, & Recognition Includes approximately $250 per themed night, such as Teacher Night, Parent Night and Senior Night, as well as flowers for JV Conference, Sections and the State Meet, coach appreciation, gymnast recognition and other meet-related expenses .
Team Bonding Supports activities that bring our gymnasts together outside of regular practices and meets. Examples may include attending a University of Minnesota gymnastics meet, Topgolf, Valleyfair, team meals and celebrations, team-building activities, mock meets and other experiences that help create a fun, inclusive and connected team.
Photos, Hype Video & Media Covers team and individual photos, our season hype video, and other media and graphics that capture the season, recognize our gymnasts and promote WHS Gymnastics. Booster fees also cover an individual photo download of each gymnast.
