Welcome to English with Philosophy! This website provides information about the assessment framework of this course.

You will have the opportunity to earn up to 17 internal credits this year in English with Philosophy. While we recognise that NCEA and assessments play a significant part in earning UE Literacy and getting into university, we also hope that assessments can be a secondary focus to actual learning and engaging with ideas and each other.

For this reason, we have tried to structure activities, text studies, and learning experiences across each term that can naturally segue into assessments.

We will spend a lot of time talking about A.I. this year: this doesn't mean we want it to write your essay! We will ask you to add the following statement to all of your written assignments:
