Design a new dwelling that has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and the rest of the space as open plan living (Dining/Kitchen/Lounge/etc.)
The final design will be created digitally in ArchiCAD. A floor plan and 3D images can easily be created once the design is digitised.
But before you jump onto ArchiCAD you need to get to your final design.
Once the problem has been defined (the specifications) then looking at what has already been done (research) is a good place to get good ideas and steal them. Then you can develop many, many concepts with thumbnail sketches and diagrams (at least 4 pages). After getting stakeholder feedback you can then take 3 of your designs to develop further with multiple (at least 4) pages on each design. More stakeholder feedback will allow you to select your final design.
Throughout your project you should be planning how you are going to fit all of this in before the deadline, reflecting on how you are progressing and once you have completed it you need to evaluate how your final outcome meets the specifications and your stakeholder's needs.

Spend some time, at least twice a week, writing about how your project is going in your blog.
So you should only be on the computers to research things and for your blogging. The rest of your time should be spent sketching and exploring ideas on paper. Plans, oblique, isometric, 2-point perspective are all good ways of communicating your designs. Use the quick, easy ones to explore possible solutions and the more detailed, longer time ones when you have fewer designs.
