At the WHRHS Library, our mission is to foster a love of reading, promote lifelong learning, and support academic excellence. The WHRHS Library offers a rich and diverse collection designed to support the academic and recreational interests of our students and faculty. Our collection includes:
Print Resources: A vast selection of fiction and non-fiction books, including contemporary and classic literature, reference materials, and subject-specific resources to support coursework and independent study.
Digital Resources: E-books, audiobooks, and digital magazines accessible through our online catalog, providing convenient access to reading materials anytime, anywhere.
Databases: A wide range of academic databases covering various subjects, including science, history, literature, and more, to support research and classroom learning.
Yearbook Collection: An archive of past yearbooks, preserving the history and memories of our school community.
Board Games and Puzzles: A variety of board games and puzzles available for checkout or use within the library, promoting social interaction, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Respect the Space and Others:
Maintain a quiet and respectful environment conducive to study and reading.
Be mindful of others and keep noise to a minimum.
Use headphones with laptops or phones when playing music and/or videos.
Students are asked to put things back where they found them. This includes chairs, books, board games, etc. If you move furniture, you must move it back. DO NOT leave board games and their pieces out on tables.Â
Please refrain from putting your feet on chairs or tables in the Library.
Food Policy:
Food is allowed in the library.
Students must clean up after themselves and dispose of trash properly. Failure to do so will result in loss of library privileges.
Lunchtime Visits:
The library is open to students who require an alternative peaceful space during lunchtime.
Students wishing to go to the Cafeteria first before coming to the Library for lunch should sign up by 9:20am. The sign up lists for each lunch are then printed and left down in the Cafeteria. Make sure you check out with a teacher before leaving the Cafeteria.
Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited.
Students must check in upon arrival at the library.
Seminar Visits:
Students must sign up for a library seminar pass. Space is limited.
Students must check in for attendance upon arrival at the library.
Library Passes:
Students need a pass to use the restroom, go to the nurse, etc. Do not leave the library without permission.
Borrowing Materials:
Students must check out all library materials before taking them out of the library.
Return borrowed items by the due date to avoid fines or replacement costs. Library materials may be checked out for 2 week intervals with the possibility of renewal.
Use of Library Resources:
Handle all library materials, equipment, and furniture with care.
Report any damage or issues to the library staff immediately.
Behavioral Expectations:
Follow all school rules while in the library.
Respect library staff and follow their instructions.
Personal Belongings:
Keep personal belongings with you at all times.
