Welcome back old and new friends! My name is Beth Glasier and I have been teaching P.E. at Wolcott since 1999. I am here full time and work with students in K-5.
I graduated in 1995 from Springfield College and in 1999 from Central Connecticut State University where I received my certificate in teaching physical education Pre K-12. In 2002 I completed my masters in physical education from CCSU.
Teaching young people to be active and healthy citizens is my goal. Creating learning opportunities that are fun, challenging and most of all rewarding is essential to ensuring healthy and active students. In a technology saturated world, it's even more crucial that students learn physical activity is a lifetime commitment. Providing students the tools and experiences to be physically literate is my top priority. Physical literacy is the competence and confidence to explore and experience a variety of movement tasks. It also teaches that fitness is a lifetime commitment!
