An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles, and other sources you used in your project.
Each bibliographic citation is followed by a 2-4 sentence descriptive and evaluative section.
Here are some examples:
Avocado, Timothy. Biographies of Amazing People. National Highlights Inc, 2018. EBSCOhost, search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx? direct= true AuthType=cookie, ip,cpid&custid=whps&db= e862xna&A=1930462&site=eds-live.
In this newspaper source from a database I learned how the actions of Rosa Parks to promote civil rights did not start with her sitting on the bus. This article gave specific examples about how she prepared for this day long before it happened. I used this information to support the context section of my display.
Dewitt, Sally Lewis. “The Underground Railroad.” Underground Railroad (Primary Source Document) (January 10, 2009): 297. MainFile, EBSCOhost (accessed January 27, 2016).
This painting by Sally Lewis Dewitt gave me an understanding of the Underground Railroad system from the perspective of a Quaker (helper). In addition, I was able to discover details such as how the stations worked. I used a copy of this painting in my final project to illustrate context.
