Hi!
I have been teaching Physical Education at Bugbee since 2008 and absolutely love it! I see Elementary Physical Education as "Teaching the foundational skills needed for ADVENTURES in life". Children love to move and I am privileged to be able to teach the concepts and skills necessary for students to live healthy, active lives. We work to provide a program that helps students enjoy activities such as fitness, exercise, dance, educational gymnastics, sports skills and adventure education challenges as well as help students grow in areas of cooperation, teamwork, confidence, conflict resolution, sportsmanship, peer coaching, etc ....... All important for ADVENTURES in life!
I have a background in Psychology (BA from UMass)and School Counseling (MA in Ed from the University of Virginia) as well as many years coaching Lacrosse at the Collegiate, High School and Youth Levels. My PE Teaching Certification work was done at CCSU. Prior to teaching I worked as a school counselor in both Glastonbury and West Hartford at the middle school level.
My hobbies include fishing, playing guitar, listening to music, coaching lacrosse and spending time with my two sons and wife.
Please don't hesistate to reach out to me at Bugbee and stay fit!
