Band Boosters

The Whiteville High School Band Boosters is an association organized to further the music education of WHS students by providing moral and financial support to the music programs of Whiteville City Schools. At Whiteville High School, these programs include Marching Band, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble, and Color Guard. In addition, assistance is provided to the Central Middle School Band and music programs at Edgewood Elementary School. 

Band Boosters help the band in a number of ways, some behind the scenes, and some out in front, including:

• Fundraising: Band Boosters fundraising activities help cover the difference between what the district is able to contribute and what the band would like to be able to include in its budget.

• Volunteering: Band Booster parent volunteers fill many roles, including fundraising, baking, chaperoning, feeding the kids, taking pictures, and much more. 

The WHS Band Boosters meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm in the band room. At the meetings we will discuss needs of the band, fundraising, volunteering in the concession stand, and future plans for the band. Parents, family, and other community members are encouraged to attend. We will vote on Band Booster officers each year. The officers would be responsible for planning and organizing fundraisers and other events for the band.

The form to volunteer in the concession stand can be found on the home page of the WHS Band website. We are always in need of concession stand volunteers. You may sign up for multiple games at one time.
