About us
Mrs. Michelle Bond- Hello and welcome! My name is Michelle Bond, and I am one of the counselor's at White Hall Middle School. I am here for all students, families, teachers, faculty, staff, and the community, even though I am assigned to students whose last names begin with the letters A-K.
I have been in the educational field for 24 years! Before becoming a school counselor, I taught English in grades 5-9 and 12th grade for 19 years. This school year begins my 5th year as a school counselor. I graduated with a BSE in English from the University of Central Arkansas in 1997, and graduated from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock with a MSE in School Counseling in 2017.
I consider my role, as a school counselor, to be a privilege! Being a support system for the students, parents, teachers, and staff is an opportunity that I embrace with a hopeful heart. When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family, reading, and running.
Mrs. Courtney Harp- My name is Courtney Harp, and I am a counselor at WHMS. Our office is focused on providing services to all students, families, teachers, faculty, and staff; however, I am assigned students with a last name beginning with L-Z.
I received my BBA in Marketing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. After working in the business sector, I later decided to become a Business teacher in which I've taught many different subjects throughout the years including Computer Business Applications, Finance, Desktop Publishing I & II, and EAST. I taught at the middle school level initially but then later transferred to the high school where I spent the majority of my teaching years. While there, I felt a calling to pursue a degree in school counseling. I graduated with a MSE in School Counseling from the University of Central Arkansas.
This school year marks the beginning of the fourth year I have been a school counselor. Every day is unique with its own set of challenges, but I consider the ability to work with our children a blessing in my life and one of the most enjoyable parts of my day.
