VR Fun & "Write It, Do It!"

In this event, one partner wrote a description of a prebuilt LEGO design and how to build it. The other partner attempted to construct the design from the description.
After a fun afternoon of experiencing VR technology and an Science Olympiad challenge, club members pose with their LEGO designs.

Science Club students were able to experience a great opportunity through TTU and the MET (Mechanical Engineering Technology) program. The students practiced coding, took a tour of the program's facilities, and got to hear from world-renowned professors and researchers in the field.

21st Century - After School STEAM
Students worked through the engineering design process to build a prototype of a catapult out of spoons, rubber bands, popsicle sticks, and erasers.
Students at Doyle Elementary had the opportunity to fly drones provided by the STEM department. Our students worked with students on how to maneuver an obstacle course.

Some members from the Science Club participated in the "Meals & Manners" dinner at First National Bank, which was hosted by Tennessee Tech University. They joined community leaders to learn and discuss professional dress techniques and etiquette.

WCHS Science Club & Friends travelled to Mammoth Cave, Kentucky to see the longest cave system in the world. This limestone labyrinth provided an opportunity for students to learn some scientific wonders, history, and create memories that will last for a lifetime.
