In Maths we made Data projects. We surveyed our classmates about some of their favourite things and represented the data using tallies, block graphs and pictograms.

Polar Extremes Workshop

For Science Week we had a workshop with marine biologist Benny Joyce called Polar Extremes. We tracked different polar animals and examined some interesting materials.

Superb Sundials

In History we have been learning all about clocks. We designed our own sundials and tried them out in the yard.

In Science we experimented with different materials and solutions to make slime!

In Gaeilge we wrote short pieces of scríobneoireacht about ourselves.

Irish Native Trees

In Science we learned all about Irish native trees, like oak, beech and scot's pine. We gathered leaves and made a community tree with leaf rubbings.

Maths Week - 

How Far Can We Throw The Javelin?

During Maths Week, we estimated the distance we could throw a javelin. Then we threw the javelins and measured the distance using trundle wheels.

In PE we played some collaborative games like Over, Under and Elephant Walk.

2-D Shape Hunt

In Maths we have been learning about 2-D shapes. We went on a 2-D shape hunt around the school to find as many shapes as possible.

STEM Challenge - 2-D Shapes

In Maths we used lollipop sticks to solve STEM challenges. We made stars using different amounts of sticks.

Diversity

In Geography and SPHE we have been learning about diversity. We found out different facts about our classmates. 

Who has the same colour eyes? Who has lived in a different country? Who has a pet?
