We are working on understanding numbers in math. Here are some at-home activities to practice!
• Go for a walk and look at the house numbers. How are they counted, by ones, twos, or tens? Can you predict the next house number on the street? Counting the number of petals on a certain type of flower. If a flower has 5 petals, and there are 12 flowers, how could you count them? Go ahead! How many steps to the end of the next block, to your friend’s house? Can you count every time your right foot hits the ground (2 steps, 4 steps, 6 steps, 8 steps…)? You can count just about anything. Count all the time!
