Bio:

I received my Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech, my Masters of Science in Special Education from Old Dominion University, and my Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning from Georgia Southern University. I have been teaching for 15 years in Special Education. I am highly qualified to teach all content areas from Kindergarten through 8th grades. I have taught mostly elementary students, but I also taught middle school. I am originally from Virginia. I am passionate about using technology to encourage students to become stronger problem solvers and give them a voice in their learning. I have been the Wilson Reading Program which has proven successful in children with dyslexia and severe reading problems. My husband, Matt, is a teacher and football coach at White County High School. We have 3 boys-Cody, Caden, and Cameron. We have come to call White County our home and we are so grateful for that. Our boys keep us very busy with football, wrestling, and baseball. We enjoy visiting the beach and being on the river.
