What is GKIDS?
The Georgia Kindergarten Inventory of Developing Skills (GKIDS) is a state-mandated assessment that provides one way to document and communicate your child's progress on the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) during their kindergarten year. This assessment informs parents and teachers about students' performance on kindergarten-level skills. The assessment is administered throughout the year as a part of your child’s kindergarten experience. The individual student report will be issued at the end of the year and will show you a summary of your child’s performance in each of the required areas of learning (ELA, Math, Approaches to Learning, and Personal and Social Development).
