Mossy Creek Elementary

Bio:

I decided in Kindergarten that I wanted to be a teacher. Not just any teacher- I wanted to be MY kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Foltz. She always knew just what to say to help me understand or to make me feel special. Today, I am able to live my dream in my classroom. I hope to be for your child what Mrs. Foltz was for me.

Today, I am not only privileged to be teaching in beautiful White County, but my husband Chris and I have children in this wonderful school district. Kaeden is a junior,  Sawyer is in fifth grade, and Tillie is in first grade. Erica and Riley are WCHS graduates.

I enjoy spending time with my family in my free time. I also enjoy attending church and crafting.

Education

In 2002, I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education at Converse College. I then earned a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education at North Georgia College and State University in 2007. I also hold a Gifted In-Field Endorsement from NGCSU, and I am currently working on my dyslexia endorsement.

Experience

This is my twenty-second year teaching in White County. I taught 4th grade for 4 years, 3rd grade for ten years,  Kindergarten for six years, and this is my second year in 2nd grade.
