SAT and ACT Information
The SAT and ACT are tests used by colleges as part of admissions requirements. Most four year colleges accept either the SAT or the ACT. As counselors, we typically encourage students to take each test during their junior year. Since many students generally find that they score better on one than the other, we recommend that students retest on the one they do best on for a chance to raise their score. SAT
To register for the SAT, visit the
If you have never created a college board account, you will need to do so before you can register for the SAT. Once you are logged into your account, you can choose your test date and your testing site.
You will need to upload a photo of yourself for you test ticket. Be sure to check the SAT's photo requirements to make sure yours will be acceptable.

ACT

Some students may qualify for Fee Waivers based on guidelines set by the SAT and ACT. Visit the Fee Waiver Page on the SAT website and ACT website for more information to see if you qualify. Students can see their counselor to receive fee waivers. Counselors will also be able to answer questions you may have about qualifying for a fee waiver.
