Experience

I am beginning my 20th year of teaching!

I have taught in White County since 2000 and love being a part of the Mount Yonah Elementary family. I raised my two daughters in this school from K-5th grade. It was such a relief to me knowing that all of the loving teachers here were caring for them as their own. I feel like each child here is just a little bit mine after being with them for 6 years. It's so fun watching creativity and ability grow along with them as they progress through elementary school. I enjoy following my former students through middle and high school and into college and adulthood too.

Bio

I am the mother of two wonderful girls. I am also newly wed (2 years) to Bently Harris. We have 2 rescue dogs, Izzy and Buddy who love to be with us outside and around water. My favorite art medium is clay. We've just completed a workshop/studio at home so that I can begin to make my clay pieces and paintings. In my class positive attitude and participation are required. We have so much fun figuring out how to be creative and problem solve.
