About Me
My name is Ethan Botelho, and I am a senior at the Center for Advanced Studies at Wheeler High School. I am seventeen years old, I have played both tennis and ultimate frisbee in high school, and I have taken many mathematics and science courses that I have thoroughly enjoyed. In my free time, I play plenty of video games with my friends, solve many different types of Rubik's/Puzzle cubes, and play piano.
My Family
Above is a picture of my mother (left) Denise, a production manager for Houghton-Mifflin Harcourt, my sister (left-middle) Julia, a current freshmen at North Cobb High School, my father (right-middle) Keith, an English professor at Kennesaw State University, and myself (right). This picture was taken on Stanford's campus in California, which I am applying to (and hope to get into).
My Dog
My dog Riot is a Black Labrador-Pitbull-Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix, and he is always full of energy despite him being over six years old.
I intend to continue to be a well-rounded individual through my participation in sports, clubs, social events, and academics. I know that this will help me succeed in my hopefully future career in mathematics, and this entire research and internship experience has helped solidify my enjoyment in it. Through continued support of my friends, family, mentors, and teachers, I will be ready to pursue whatever I discover to be my true passion in the world of mathematics.
