What is a Course Request?

Your Course Request is just that, the courses you have requested and would like to take. We have students select their top elective choices and then alternates just in case. The goal is to be able to schedule everyone for at least one elective course they requested. 

Can I change the level of course that my 8th grade teacher registered me for?

Yes, your 8th grade teacher registered you for the course they believe you will be most successful in based on your current performance, standardized test scores and overall work ethic. You can waive up or down a level during the Course Request Change Window (March 16- March 27)  . All Course Request Changes must be returned by March 27, 2026.

Can I request a schedule change if I change my mind later?

Unfortunately, we are not able to honor schedule change requests after the registration process closes. We hire faculty and build the master schedule based on the classes students request during the registration process, so we are not able to accommodate schedule changes for the following reasons. 

• The class could impact my overall GPA

• The class is too difficult

• I no longer need the class

• I don't like my teacher

• I changed my mind about the class I wanted
