Welcome to my education site to learn about the fundamentals & importance of global education!
Never in human history has our world been more inter-connected and never has our responsibility as educators to include and promote global education been more vital. We have a responsibility and privilege to help prepare our students with authentic experiences to build skills necessary to be empathetic active citizens of the world in our ever changing 21st century. We have a responsibility to empower our students to use their voices to investigate the world, recognize diverse perspectives, build meaningful relationships with folks outside of their bubbles, collaborate and communicate ideas and translate those ideas into action to improve their communities locally and/or globally. There is no time to waste! Global education can be the transformative lens through which ANY subject at ANY age can be taught! Small shifts in mindset can equal huge impacts. Join me to help empower your students to be change-agents to make the world a more just and beautiful place.
This resource guide serves as a resource to inspire and foster global competence within the Nursery-University classroom and community. Educators will be given practical strategies to implement global competence skill-building into existing curriculum no matter where or what one teaches. One will also find opportunities for educators (like YOU!) to grow leaps and bounds personally and professionally through travel grants and read about the field experience.
