The rules and regulations of Wheaton’s Music Co-Op are largely based upon the principles of the Wheaton Honor Code that all students sign when they matriculate. Any questions or concerns about these rules can be directed to any member of the Music Co-Op Executive Board.
Leave the space as clean as (or cleaner than) you left it. Throw away garbage, and put away equipment when you are done with it.
Do not draw on the walls.
Use common sense when you are finished with the space: don’t leave the windows open, and lock all closets and doors. This is to keep our equipment safe: if it is stolen, we may not be able to get a replacement, which inconveniences both you and your fellow musicians.
Do not drink or smoke in the space.
Do not use the space for parties or social events.
Report any damage done to the space as soon as you see it to a member of the Executive Board.
First Offense: Warning.
Second Offense: A month’s suspension from the practice space.
Third Offense: Banned for life.
Book the rehearsal space before using it via our scheduler.
This is a matter of convenience and respect to other musicians on campus who would like to use the space; it also allows the Executive Board to better track missing equipment, damage, etc.
First Offense: Warning.
Second Offense: A month’s suspension from the practice space.
Third Offense: Banned for life.
Know how to use the equipment before using it; if you have any doubts, ask a member of the Executive Board.
First Offense: Warning.
Second Offense: Banned for life.
intentional damage or theft of equipment will result in a permanent ban from the Music Co-Op and the rehearsal space.
The Music Co-Op offers storage for individual music equipment on a first-come, first-serve basis. Individuals who store their equipment with the Music Co-Op are expected to provide their own combination lock for their closet and not give it out to others; the Executive Board is not responsible for theft or loss of personal items.
Individuals are expected to only store musical equipment and no other personal belongings; in addition, individual belongings should be removed from storage at the end of each academic year (we do not provide summer storage).
For the time being, space scheduling can only be done a maximum of a week in advance. Cycles beginning on Sundays.
All reservations will be removed from the scheduler each Saturday night.
The space is closed from midnight until 6:00 am.
