The Warrensville Heights Early Learning Center and Elementary School are excited to announce our Summer Reading Program for Summer 2026. Rising PreKindergarten through 5th grade students will receive a picture book or novel for their summer reading. These books have been carefully selected by teachers to connect directly to the first unit of study students will explore when they return to school in the fall.
Each grade level will complete a simple learning task connected to their book. The task will be collected when students return in August. At the start of the school year, students will revisit the books in their classrooms through discussions, activities, and projects that help launch the first unit of learning.
Our goal is to keep students reading, thinking, and building excitement for learning throughout the summer while helping them transition smoothly into the academic work of the new school year.
