As an Eastern Idaho Midwife I offer a variety of services that will benefit you from the start of your pregnancy and weeks after. Whole Hearted Birth offers everything you will need to make this journey beautiful and empowering to you as a woman. Our hope is that you will be able to look back on each of your birth experiences with fond memories. The services we offer below will both educate and empower each woman. Birth is not a manufactured mechanical process, but an individual journey to motherhood.

Prenatal Care

Includes

Free interview starting before care
Prenatal schedule with 1-hour visits
All visits in the comfort of your own home
Routine labs
A breast exam along with self-exam education, if desired

Childbirth Classes

Include

2 four hour hands on classes
Open Q & A session
Basic anatomy & physiology of birth and stages of labor
Techniques to use during labor, beneficial for both hospital and home births
Breathing and relaxation techniques
What to expect during postpartum recovery

Home Births

Include

Birth pool if desired
Birth kit
Care from onset of active labor through 2-3 hours postpartum

Postnatal Care

Includes

Visits for both Mom and Baby at 24-36 hours, one week, two weeks, & six weeks postpartum
Newborn screening test
Critical congenital heart screening for all babies
Breastfeeding assistance
PAP smears offered at last visit
