Name: Mrs. Vicki Williams
Role: Reading Interventionist
Education: I completed my undergraduate and graduate work in Education at the University of Missouri-Columbia. This will be my 19th year as a reading teacher in the Webster Groves School District. I believe that all students can develop the strategies and skills they need to improve their reading and thinking.
Share something no one knows about you: I am amazing at the arcade game Galaga.
Family: I live in Webster Groves with my husband and have the most fun spending time with my friends and family—especially our sweet grandchildren, Brody, Lily and Parker. I like to cook and bake, garden, ride my bike, travel and curl up with a good book.
What I am looking forward to: I’m truly looking forward to watching this school and community come to life and forming relationships with students and their families.
A quote I like:
For it isn’t normal to always be good—
I don’t think you’d want to, and don’t think you should;
Just as food tastes better with a shake of salt,
A small bit of mischief is hardly a fault.
And life would be boring, and life would be grim,
If children were all goody-goody and prim.
For years, this quote hung on our refrigerator as a reminder to embrace not only the order, but the disorder of the day.

Role: Math Interventionist
Education: I graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I have over 20 years of experience in education that include teaching preschool, first grade, third grade, and most recently working as an instructional aide at Avery and Hudson.
Share something no one knows about you: I live in one of the oldest homes in Webster Groves. It is an old farmhouse that was built in 1860!
Family: I have been married to my husband Steve for 23 years. We have two children who are both products of the Webster Groves School District. My son Chase is a junior majoring in Civil Engineering at Bradley University. My daughter Linsey, who just graduated from Webster Groves High School, will also be attending Bradley University this fall and majoring in Elementary Education. My house is going to be a little quiet this fall, so it's a good thing I have 2 dogs! Nelly is a yellow lab and is 11 years old. Daisy is a blue heeler mix and she is a year and a half. Daisy definitely keeps us all very busy! Finally, I love sports! I love baseball (yes, I am a Cubs' fan), the Green Bay Packers, college basketball, and I love WGHS sports! (My daughter was a cheerleader at WGHS. I am really going to miss not seeing her cheer this year, but my husband and I still plan to go to many games!)
What I am looking forward to: am so excited to be part of this new journey as we open up as a Neighborhood School. I look forward to meeting new people, making connections, and seeing those friendships grow and flourish.
