Law Community Email List:
Community Guidelines

All Law School community members are responsible for their communications on the email list. All communications are subject to the relevant policies and procedures of the Law School, as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct and Honor Code.

Membership on the email list is entirely voluntary. All law students, faculty, and staff will be enrolled automatically upon joining the Wake Forest Law community. You can opt out or re-enroll at any time without consequence through the Law School Intranet. 

All official information from the Law School will be sent via the lawstudents@gg.wfu.edu, lawfaculty@gg.wfu.edu, and lawstaff@gg.wfu.edu email lists. Members of these email lists are expected to review all information distributed.

The Law School strives to be an inclusive community where everyone is safe, respected, and valued. All email list communications should be conducted in a kind and civil manner and be respectful of all members of the Law School community. It's important to assume good intentions from others and consider the diverse backgrounds of the Law School community. Recognizing that email list forums represent broad constituencies and perspectives, emails sent to the community email list should be informative and pertain to all community members. 

Engage with the email list in a way that is comfortable for you. The Law Community Email List has been created to foster respectful and engaging communications. 

Be clear and professional in all communications on the email list. Ensure messages sent to the email list are carefully proofread and checked for readability, clarity, and formatting. We also encourage consideration of the value and frequency of communications, especially those sent as reminders of earlier emails.  

Should a Law School community member feel that a communication sent on the email list potentially violates one of these standards, they may file a report. Reports about messages sent by students can be sent to lawstudentaffairs@wfu.edu. Reports about communications sent by faculty or staff members can be sent to lawhelp@wfu.edu.
