We are Gabi Girardeau, Kaylee Clarke, Isabella Crooks, and Delanie Martin. We are the 2025 Girls Talk Math Knot Theory Group! Our honorary member Jazmyne Weston is also pictured.
Girls Talk Math was an engaging way to expand upon the highschool curriculum in an environment that empowers women and girls in STEM!

We have a lecture for each of the groups topics! (With some extras) We learned something new every lecture even if it is about your own topic! Many of our lectures include candy, hands on activities, and collaborating with friends!

We would play music and sing! Lunch was so fun and we would share so many funny stories! Making knot puns were the best! We played games like spoons and set! There was a lot of dancing (Only Kaylee) and we drew a LOT!

Activities

Many of the activities were really fun and required teamwork! Such as barbie bungee, and the picture shown above is the human knot! In knot theory we used pipe cleaners for our math problems, and we got to color! We also ate lots of snacks all the time!

Group time

Groups did more than collaborate, we helped one another when someone was struggling. Our team showed more than teamwork we were able to lean on one another. This environment is a safe space, and nobody's thoughts were ever unheard. Friends were made very easily and helped to make group time more fun.
