This project consists of two major efforts and is supported by several Z. Smith Reynolds Library, Wake Forest University, and Winston-Salem community partners.
With a combined effort using ZSR Innovation Grant funds, WFU Center for Literacy Education Diverse Books Grant funds, and ZSR employee donations, we provided 2,284 books to help establish Anderson Academy classroom libraries for their inaugural year as a public charter school on the Crossnore Campus.
ZSR welcomed new students to campus with a new backpack, snacks, and supplies at the Anderson Academy Open House on August 7, 2025. This event provide an opportunity for students and teachers to engage in a celebratory format and peruse new classroom libraries prior to their first day of classes.
