Additional CTLE Information
If you complete 100 CTLE hours, that 'block' of 100 hours covers all of your CTLE certificates for that 5-year cycle
You can not 'bank ' CTLE hours and use them for the next cycle
At the end of each 5-year registration cycle, you will re-register on TEACH and attest that you did or did not complete 100 CTLE hours.
Record Keeping and Reporting
Everyone has to keep records for 8 years
CTLE certificate holders are required to maintain their own CTLE hours for 8 years.
Districts and other approved CTLE sponsors are required to maintain records of CTLE hours they offer.
No one has to submit records to the state unless the state specifically requests them.
At the end of each 5-year registration cycle, CTLE certificate holders will attest to completing 100 CTLE hours as they re-register on their TEACH accounts.
SED may randomly audit bout CTLE sponsors and CTLE certificate holders to ensure compliance with the regulation.
Additional Information for Speech and Language Disabilities Specialist Certification Holders
Speech and Language Disabilities Professional Certificate Holders please note: Courses taken from an approved American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) CE provider are acceptable towards meeting CTLE requirements as long as they are documented with the ASHA CE Registry. One ASHA CEU equals 10 hours of CTLE.
Additional Information for Social Workers Certification Holders
