** As we wrap up Mental Health Week I'd like to leave you with an important reminder: You don’t have to handle everything on your own. Asking for help, taking time for yourself, and using healthy coping skills are all ways of taking care of your mental health. Make sure you stop by our table during lunch. ** Pink Ribbon stickers were distributed to our 7th and 8th grade SOAR members, this morning. Today our school is coming together to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You might notice a lot of people wearing the color pink this month. Pink is the international symbol for breast cancer awareness, representing hope, support, and solidarity for those who have been affected by the disease.
While breast cancer mostly affects adults, both men and women, it impacts many families right here in our own community. By wearing pink, we are spreading positivity and reminding everyone that when we stand together, we can make a big difference. It shows our strong support for the brave individuals, families, and researchers working together for a healthier future.

Hoy nuestra escuela se une para crear conciencia con motivo del Mes de la Concientización sobre el Cáncer de Mama. Es posible que veas a muchas personas vistiendo de rosa este mes. El rosa es el símbolo internacional de la concientización sobre el cáncer de mama y representa esperanza, apoyo y solidaridad para quienes se han visto afectados por esta enfermedad. Si bien el cáncer de mama afecta principalmente a adultos —tanto hombres como mujeres—, también impacta a muchas familias aquí mismo, en nuestra propia comunidad. Al vestirnos de rosa, transmitimos positividad y recordamos a todos que, cuando nos unimos, podemos marcar una gran diferencia. Esto demuestra nuestro firme apoyo a las personas valientes, a las familias y a los investigadores que trabajan juntos por un futuro más saludable.

Calling all students, it's your time to shine in our “Design Our Mental Health Message” Contest. Create an original mental-health slogan + mini poster design that promotes kindness, coping, asking for help, or taking care of your mental health. ** If you are interested in trying out for cheerleading, there will be an informational meeting on Thursday, September 10th. The meeting will take place right after school in room 104. You must be cleared on Family ID. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Arguello.
** Boys and Girls Cross Country will have their first practice on Thursday 9/10. Please meet in room 209 with Coach Egan and Coach Sorensen. If you have any questions, find Coach Egan in room 209 before the first practice.
5 pm buses will be available for all students staying after for sports.

Todos los estudiantes deben estar registrados y aprobados en Family ID para poder asistir. Nos reuniremos en el gimnasio justo después de clases.
