I hope everyone is well. You should have received your combined English and Writing packet. If you are using Virtual Backpack you should not print out the packet. You can answer the questions on paper. Please make sure you are using CER (CEER) where appropriate. Your answers should be thorough and well thought out. Also, please continue to read your independent novel.

English- Your child should be reading their independent novel each evening. They must then complete the "Book Journal." (Not the book recommendation sheet). The book journal is 2 pages and is attached. All assignments will be due on Tuesday, 3/31/20.

1.Students should be reading their independent novels. Book Recommendation is due Tuesday, Feb. 11th.
2. Students have a mid year comprehension and skills check this Thursday and Friday. They were given a review sheet to study.
Writing-
1. Our 4th current event was due yesterday. Sorry to say many were not handed in!
1/8/2020- Happy New Year!
English- Independent novel due Tuesday 2/11. Complete the book recommendation sheet.
Writing- Current event due Tuesday 1/21. Complete the " Who, when, what..." sheet and analysis paragraph sheet.
12/19/19
- English- Flush Chapters 1-7 quiz tomorrow
- Writing- Every student needs to come in tomorrow with their personal narrative final draft written.
12/16/19-
English- Many students did not hand in their book and recommendation today. they had 5-6 weeks to complete it. Please make sure it is finished ASAP.
Writing- All students will be required to walk into class with their personal narrative final draft, rough draft, and packet complete on Friday. No Exceptions!! If they will be absent for some reason, I should have it on Thursday!

Current Event due Tuesday, Nov., 26th. The current event sheet must be filled out neatly and completely and have the news article you used attached.
