About Me

Jennifer Davenport

Education has always been a passion of mine, especially when it comes to early education. I taught preschool part time while my girls were little. I've taught full time Pre-K, Kindergarten, third and fourth grade during my first 10 years, and then was an Instruction Reading Coach for 3 years. 2020 will be the first year for WFISD's Reading Academies.

I am a proud graduate of WFISD S. H. Rider High School.
B. S. in Development and Family Studies from the University of North Texas
Post-Bach Teaching Certification from Midwestern State University
Masters in Educational Leadership from Midwestern State University

My family

My husband, Kyle, and I are both educators with WFISD. We are both very passionate about positively impacting students and setting them up for success in their educational career and in life. Together, we have 2 wonderful daughters, two dogs, and two cats (although they aren't very photogenic!) We love spending time together as a family going on walks, attending the girls various sporting events, and cooking meals together. Our extended family is local and we enjoy being with them whenever possible.
