We have prepared some information to help introduce you to Barwise Middle School. Eagle Camp is meant to be in person. However, we hope that you find the information useful. There are links throughout the site for you to click on. Some information may not be applicable to students who opt for remote instruction. But either way, we're excited for you to become a Barwise Eagle!

We REALLY wish we could give you a tour in person. But don't worry! There will be lots of staff on campus to help you find where you need to go when school starts! Until then, here's a brief video of the different areas of Barwise. (Thanks, Mr. Mincy & Mr. Kaspar!) We CAN'T WAIT to see all our students on August 20th!

Moving from elementary to middle school can feel overwhelming. Here's a fun digital breakout for you to learn skills that will help you with that transition! ** If you complete the escape room, your name will go into a drawing for prizes!!**

Barwise has a campus dress code. Mrs. Berndt created a slideshow to introduce you to our policy. You will also get more information about dress code during the first few days of school. Dress code information can also be found here: Barwise Dress Code.

All Barwise students who complete online enrollment (and have parental permission) will receive a Chromebook. Ms. Sralla has created a getting started video for you. You will also learn more about how to use the Chromebook in your classes.

As students use more and more technology in the classroom, it is important to have good digital citizenship. Mrs. Freeman has a video and Google form to introduce you to good digital citizenship. You will get more information in the 6th grade Tech Apps class during the school year.

Mr. Wilkinson has some great tips to help you get off to a great start with academics. Whether you are doing school "face-to-face" or "remotely," it's important to develop good study habits.

Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Rice have put together a slide show to cover social safety skills and hygiene. Together we can make school as safe as possible for everyone.
