Whitefish Bay High School Orchestras

At Whitefish Bay High School, two curricular orchestras meet daily. Both classes are performance-based ensembles, but also cover basic music theory, and music history. Concert Orchestra meets during 6th period and is our ensemble for any student who would like to take part in HS Orchestra. Chamber Orchestra is our auditioned ensemble and meets during 7th period. Students perform concerts in October, December, February (Music for Munchkins), March (masterworks concert), May (All District String Festival and a HS Only Concert) and in June (Graduation). Students also have opportunities to perform solos and small group ensembles at the District Solo and Ensemble Festival in March. Most school years will also either feature a guest artist/clinician and or group travel.
