The process of applying to a post-secondary institution can be nerve-wracking, but it doesn’t have to be! Below you will find an outline of the sections you will be completing if you utilize the Common Application (a widely used college application platform) when applying to schools. Many schools use the Common App, but some do not. Please see the following link if you would like to see if the school(s) you are planning to apply to use the Common App. If you search your school and it does not populate, that means your school does not use the Common App and you should be applying directly through their website: Find a College
1. Add the colleges that you will be applying to.
2. Complete the FERPA waiver so that recommenders can upload documents on your behalf.
3. Review “Application Requirements” for the colleges that you are applying to.
4. Secure letters of recommendation.
5. Check to see if your school(s) need test scores. If so, it's your responsibility to send them.
6. Submit a transcript request form to your counselor. *please review the specific instructions on your Naviance account.
