Hello! I am Thomas Began, a senior at Whitefish Bay High School, who is beginning my first year as a Bay Gives Back Co-President. The inspirational efforts of Bay Gives Back over the past decade have greatly edified our community and far beyond, establishing this student-backed club as an local institution, one that I am proud to lead into its tenth year. In utilizing my leadership position, I look forward to encouraging and collaborating with passionate students from the Bay to continue to promote charity and service throughout the North Shore.

Hello! My name is Selin Gurses, and I am a senior at Whitefish Bay High School. I am so excited to begin my first year as one of the Bay Gives Back Co-Presidents. The work that Bay Gives Back has done for both our school and overall community is awe-inspiring, especially since it has barely been around a decade! I am very proud to be able to join in leading the club to hopefully reach and help more people throughout our community and even farther. I look forward to watching this club grow and working with new people throughout the next few years!

Bay Gives Back is an incredible organization that serves as a prime example of the impact that a dedicated community and student body can have. As a leader of Bay Gives Back, I look forward to encouraging and working with Whitefish Bay students to make a difference in the Greater Milwaukee Community.

Sarah Bruett
Hi! My name is Sarah Bruett and I am a junior at Whitefish Bay. It has been incredible to participate in Bay Gives Back these past two years and give back to the community. I could not be more excited to work alongside students and teachers at Whitefish Bay to improve our school, community, and better the lives of our peers. One goal I have is to get students more civically engaged, in order to become more educated citizens. I am looking forward to a great year!

Ms. Gibson is in her twelth year of teaching at Whitefish Bay High School. Eleven years ago Whitefish Bay High School transitioned from having a National Honor Society to a new program called Bay Gives Back to open up service learning to all students. Since Bay Gives Back’s foundation, it has been a successful service learning extra curricular that has engaged thousands of students in projects around the city of Milwaukee. As a former Peace Corps Volunteer, Ms. Gibson is passionate about bringing service to the classroom and introducing students to the joy of helping others.
