Elementary Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) Resources
This page is designed to support elementary special education teachers in planning and delivering high-quality specially designed instruction. Resources are organized to help teams connect grade-level standards, learner-specific IEP needs, evidence-based instructional practices, and appropriate curriculum/intervention materials.
Our Special Education Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC) resources provide a foundation for specially designed instruction. These resources are research-based, reviewed and vetted by the Special Education Curriculum Committee, and intentionally aligned with a pathway to core instruction. They support educators in addressing gaps in learning and disability-related needs while maintaining meaningful connections to grade-level standards and core curriculum.
