LATE BUS INFORMATION
The late bus picks students up at 4pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Only students participating in an SDMS after school activity can take the last bus and must sign up by 9am each day. THERE ARE NO LATE SIGNUPS! 9am is a firm cutoff time. Only students who have signed up for the late bus can take the late bus. The link is open from 7am to 9am.
Students can complete the form the morning they will be taking the late bus. Students who sign up for the late bus and then do not take the late bus will not be permitted to sign up in the future as we need to make sure we are effectively using the late bus.

Educates approximately 570 seventh and eighth graders and serves students from a variety of ethnic and racial backgrounds. We are a state-of-the-art facility consisting of ceiling mounted projection systems in each classroom, and teacher stations consisting of DVD/DVR/CD players. In addition, the school has a television studio, 26 interactive smart boards and 4 computer labs.
SDMS is organized into student-teacher teams offering classes in language arts, math, social studies, and science, world language (Spanish, French, and Italian) and/or learning strategies. In addition to the team subjects, students take classes in art, technology education, family and consumer science, physical education and music. Students rotate through unified arts classes each trimester in their teams. A trimester schedule allows for interdisciplinary unit development and implementation.
At Silas Deane Middle School we prepare students for life and life’s experiences. We believe the aim of education is a process of personal development and service that can bring fulfillment to oneself and to others. We believe that each student is unique and has a varying capacity to relate to the world of people, things, and ideas. We encourage each student to develop competency, a positive self-image, independence, a sense of responsible freedom, and a desire to express and understand feelings.
