WPS Continuation of Learning Site
The Westwood Public Schools has devised a plan for the continuation of students’ learning during the school closure. This plan is shaped around two goals:
to promote school connectedness and foster a sense of community, and
to keep learning alive for students by providing important opportunities for review, learning activities for applying and extending previously learned core concepts, and feedback on student work that promotes growth.

Many teachers use Google Classroom as a hub for student learning. This Google Classroom Tutorial for Students and Parents is an excellent resource to help orient families to this platform.
The Sora app allows you to access digital and audiobooks from the Massachusetts library system. Watch this video tutorial on Sora to learn how to access this resource at home.
Google Hangouts Meet is the main platform staff will use to video conference with students. For some families, it may be helpful to install the Hangouts Meet App on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device. This Google support document provides information about how to join a video meeting.
Tech Support for Families
Tech support is available for students having difficulty with a district-issued device while learning remotely. We will do our best to resolve your issue as expediently as possible. When sending an email or leaving a voicemail, please be sure to provide your child's name, grade, and school as well as a detailed description of the problem.
