Writing

Writing can be one of the most challenging activity for students, but also one of the most rewarding. Take time each day to write. Once a week, challenge yourself to write for 20 minutes non stop. We will be posting ideas and topics for writing frequently. Snap a picture and upload it to seesaw, or share it with us in google drive.

30 minute continuous writing time.

Here are a few ideas to get you started for the 30 minute continuous writing time. Remember the goal is to get words on paper, we can edit later.

1.  Step outside and describe in detail everything you see, hear, feel, smell.

2. Choose your favourite toy, describe it and write about all the memories you have had with that toy.

3. Write a letter to your grandparents, or someone elderly that is in isolation because of COVID-19. Share stories that will make them laugh, tall them about your new lifestyle, what's good and not so good. Tell them some jokes etc.

4. Write a short story. You choose the topic, characters, and setting. Make it detailed, and interesting. Don't just tell me what is happening, tell me why, how, when, and where it is happening. Paint a picture in my mind with your words.
