Reporting Misbehavior: If I witness any misbehavior by an adult or a child and feel uncomfortable or uncertain about addressing the situation directly, I will immediately seek assistance from a school administrator or PTA coordinator. Volunteers are not expected to handle disciplinary situations independently, particularly in sensitive areas such as restrooms.
Bathroom Usage:
During school hours, I understand that adult volunteers are not permitted to enter student bathrooms. If necessary, I will use designated staff bathrooms.
During events occurring outside school hours, bathrooms may be accessed by both adults and children.
Volunteer Registration: I affirm that I am a registered volunteer with Leander Independent School District (LISD) and understand that this registration must be renewed annually to remain in compliance with district guidelines.
Supervision of Children: When volunteering in roles specifically designated for the supervision or monitoring of students, I agree not to bring younger children with me to ensure that I can fully focus on my assigned responsibilities

Q: Does my Volunteer application need to be updated each school year?
A. Volunteer accounts are active for an entire year (12 months) from the date of approval. A notification will be sent to the approved volunteer one month before expiration with instructions on how to renew or remove their volunteer account for the upcoming year.
Q: How often do I have to volunteer if I purchase a PTA membership?
A. You are not required to volunteer because you purchased a PTA membership, but it is very helpful if you can volunteer.
Q: What if I only available to volunteer for one school event?
A. Any time you can volunteer is GREATLY appreciated, even if it is only for one event.
