WHS Schedule – Privacy Policy

WHS Schedule is a bell schedule and countdown app designed for students and staff at Westside High School. This app is operated by Benjamin Powers, a teacher at Westside Community Schools.
WHS Schedule does not create user accounts and does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email, or contact details.
The app may store the following information locally on your device:
Class names and room numbers that you manually enter
Your selected schedule options and display preferences
This information is saved on your device so the app can show your daily schedule and countdown timers. It is not sent to any external servers by the app.
The information stored in the app is used only to:
Display your schedule
Show countdowns to the next bell
Support widgets and Apple Watch views using the same local data
We do not use this information for advertising, analytics, or tracking across apps or websites.
WHS Schedule does not share your data with third parties.
No data is knowingly transmitted to external services from within the app.
WHS Schedule is intended for use by high school students and staff under the supervision and policies of Westside Community Schools. The app does not collect or transmit personal information from children.
Future versions of WHS Schedule may offer integration with PowerSchool to automatically import schedule data. The App will not be able to acces any sensitive information that would violate FERPA laws such as student health, behavior, or persnoal demographics stored in Powerschool. It would only access that students class schedule and what rooms those classes are in. If that feature is added, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain:
What information is imported from PowerSchool
How it is stored and used within the app
Any additional protections or permissions required
You should review this policy after any app update that mentions PowerSchool integration.
All schedule data is stored locally on your device. To remove your data, you can:
Delete your schedule entries within the app, and/or
Delete the app from your device, which removes all locally stored app data.
