Westgate ECC has been chosen to work in collaboration with the Eastern Nebraska Education Extension, to help pilot a forest school at Pipal Park. Forest schools allow young children to explore nature environments to help develop confidence in social and academic skills. Children also learn independence and self esteem through hands-on learning experiences. These experiences are delivered through teacher planned activities, extended conversations, and free exploration.
