Woodland School Library

Welcome to the Library Program

Welcome to the Library Program! My name is Emma Kwon and I work together with Jeanmarie Parker at the Woodland School Library.

The Woodland Library is OPEN for circulation! Students and teachers may request books via Google form, and books will be packaged and delivered to the classroom (in person) or available for curbside pickup (RLA). You are welcome to search the library catalog and request specific books, or request a collection of books by subject or theme. Please use the Book Request button! We will also visit classroom for scheduled library time.

We are here to support you with online reading and research resources during hybrid and remote learning in Weston. We have access to thousands of ebooks and audiobooks. We have opportunities to connect through library curriculum classes, book clubs and office hours. I will be sharing reading materials, read alouds and activities through the Library class on Seesaw. Please note students must log in through Clever.

Our library provides students with a rich variety of resources in both print and online formats that support our K-5 Library & Technology Standards. The goal is to equip students with information literacy and research skills, and digital literacy skills. The Standards are derived from the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) and the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Digital Literacy and Computer Science (DLCS) framework. Information literacy, research skills and digital literacy lessons are integrated into the library curriculum and taught in collaboration with Kate Benson, Technology Integration Specialist.

We have an abundance of online reading and research resources to support your student's learning. Click the icon on the left to visit the online resources website.
