Puzzle 1:
Undercut is a game invented by Douglas Hofstader. The goal is to win by 11 against someone else. To score points, you need to show a number of fingers from 1 to 5. You score one point per finger. However, there is a caveat. If the number of fingers you show is one larger than the number of fingers your opponent has, you score nothing and your opponent scores the number of fingers your opponent showed AND the number of fingers you showed. To beat the undercut puzzle, you can only play one number for all rounds and you have to end up with a net positive.
Round 1: Your opponent plays 2
Round 2: Your opponent plays 4
Round 3: Your opponent plays 5
Round 4: Your opponent plays 5

c.) Play 3 for all rounds
d.) Play 4 for all rounds
