Dear Alice,
I sit next my best friend during social studies, but she won't stop talking to me. How can I get her to stop?

Dear Too Much Talking For Tess,
It must be frustrating that your friend will not stop talking to you during social studies class. Here is what I think you should do:
If you really want your friend to stop talking to you, just tell them the truth.
I know when doing this, It can be kind of scary to tell your best friend that they are being distracting and that you want them to stop because they are your best friend and you do not want to hurt their feelings or have them be mad at you, but I can assure you that they will understand.
If you do not want to tell them that they are distracting you, tell your teacher the problem and explain to them that you are having a hard time paying attention in class and simply ask to move your seats. I know that it could be hard not having your best friend next to you but your education comes first and you can talk to them at lunch. Do what is best for you!
Yours Truly,
Alice
