Lauren Tarshis, author of the acclaimed I Survived..... series gave virtual presentations to 4th Grade on Thursday, March 25th and Friday, March 26th!
On Wednesday, October 28th, Field School welcomed author Rob Buyea to visit Fifth Grade students for virtual presentations. Rob worked with students on the writing process, reading broadly to inform your writing and creating high-interest stories. Rob is the author of the Mr. Terupt series and The Perfect Score series. Rob teaches relatable messages including the connection between sports and writing:
Setting goals, commitment, perseverance, repetition and do NOT be afraid of failure.

On Monday, March 11th, 2019, Field School welcomed ocean explorer, conservationist and documentary filmmaker Fabien Cousteau, grandson of famed French explorer Jacques Cousteau. Fabien led a discussion with all 5th Grade classes on the research process for his new graphic novel "Great White Shark Adventure", published in collaboration with author James O. Fraioli.
