The Law Enforcement Torch Run® is the largest year-round fundraiser for Special Olympics. Known as Guardians of the Flame, law enforcement members and Special Olympics athletes carry the Flame of Hope into the Opening Ceremony of local competitions, and into Special Olympics State, Provincial, National, Regional and World Games. We have two simple goals: to raise money and to gain awareness for athletes who participate in Special Olympics Illinois. In 2025, the Westmont Police Department raised over $60,000 for the Torch Run. This year, with your support, we hope to increase that contribution.
