Under the Westminster Public School District's Competency-based instructional design students are placed at an appropriate learning level based on assessment and demonstration of proficiency in the content area. Students placed in this course will focus on English and Language Arts concepts and skills needed to be competent in High School Level curriculum. Concepts from all four Literacy strands will be covered: Oral Expression and Listening, Reading, Writing/Composition, and Research. Through reinforcing basic concepts the students will be able to enter ELA 1.
